Led by Richard Todd, who ran for a touchdown and threw for another, the Jets were up by 8 late, when Steve Grogan found Stanley Morgan for a Patriots TD. But the 2-point conversion was years away from adoption in the NFL, so the Pats kicked the extra point and the final was 27-26.
